ABOUT JENNIFER FERRARO:

Jennifer Ferraro, is author/ translator of the recently released Quarreling with God: Mystic Rebel Poems of the Dervishes of Turkey (White Cloud Press, 2007), a collection of never before translated mystic hymns from Turkey’s Sufi tradition (translated with Latif Bolat). A poet, artist and performer, for five years she toured with Latif Bolat’s Turkish Sufi music ensemble performing percussion, and poetry with devotional dance. A student of the Sufi path, her work is particularly concerned with illuminating the neglected Beauty and passionate wisdom of the sacred feminine. In April she will be presenting a workshop in Edinburgh, Scotland called “Poetry and the Awakened Heart: From the Mythical to the Mystical.” She has lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 1996 and teaches at the University of New Mexico.
